2.5 Ms/s 8-bit low-power flash ADC

The ADC is able to convert the differential analog input signal into a 255 bit thermometer code word. It uses a flash architecture and interpolating comparator preamplifiers, and is destined mainly for disk drive read or communications channels.

  • Equivalent Bit Number: 7.3 typ (preliminary).
  • Output data format: 255 bit thermometer code
  • Pipelined delay (ADC latency): 1 clock cycles
  • External reference input voltages: 1V and 2V (1.5V +/- 0.5V)
  • Supply voltage: 3.3V, +/-10% and 1.8V, +/-10%
  • Dynamic supply current: 5.75mA typ/3.3V and 50mA typ/1.8V.
  • Total power dissipation:19mW
  • Power down consumption: 100nA, max.
  • Operating temperature: 0 - 100oC
