10/100/1000 Mbps MAC
The 10/100/1000 Mbps MAC is a flow control capable Media Access Controller (MAC) for Ethernet which operates at 10-Mbps, 100-Mbps or 1000-Mbps. In half duplex mode the controller implements the IEEE 802.3ab Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection (CSMA/CD) protocol. In full duplex mode, the controller implements the IEEE 802.3ab MAC Control Layer and the PAUSE Operation for flow control. The controller is capable of identifying receipt of VLAN tagged frames.
