LDIC today announced its 2.5 Gb/s for Ethernet over copper or Fibre Channel transceiver
LDIC, a leading developer of Communication and Storage mixed-signal product, today announced its 2.5 Gb/s for Ethernet over copper or Fibre Channel transceiver. This device has the lowest power consumption in the industry.
LC25GR00 is a Full-duplex Transceiver configurable in two modes:
- 1.06/2.12 Gb/s for Fibre Channel
- 1.25/2.5 Gb/s for Ethernet
LC25GR00 device features: 20-bit TTL interface for the Transmit/Receive data at 125 MHz, Automatic Lock-to-Reference Function suitable for both coaxial and optical link applications. The monolithic clock synthesis and clock recovery does not require any external components.
The LC25GR00 device, fabricated using 0.18 micron CMOS process technology, The device is designed for high-performance data transmission systems, providing manufacturers with the lowest power. The LDIC PHY achieves low power dissipation. It is packaged in a 80-Pin, 14mm thermally-enhanced EDQUAD package. The LC25GR00 is available in 1, 2 and 4-channel.
LDIC, LC25GR00 device accepts two 10-bit 8b/10b encoded transmit characters and serializes the data onto TX +/- differential outputs. The chip also samples serial received data on the RX +/- differential inputs, LC25GR00 recovers the clock and data, deserializes it onto two 10-bit receive characters, outputs a recovered clocks and detects Fibre Channel Comma characters. The LC25GR00 device contains a Phase Lock Loop for synthesis of the baud-rate transmit clock, and extraction of the clock from the received serial stream.
"The LDIC methodology and its Virtual Semiconductor Company capabilities with no overhead, provide unique capability similar to other massive semiconductor companies as semiconductor vendors. Our business model is to develop directly with our customers, use most advance technology in production, which reduces risk" Said Mr. Mehdi Bathaee, President and Chief Executive Officer.
